In 2021, while celebrating 20 years of restoring, protecting and preserving the wild that is Zuka Private Game Reserve, Tara and Jessica created Getty Asterism.
By formalising the growing team, with their passion for the natural world and their extraordinary discoveries across the reserve, into a multifaceted ecology venture, Getty Asterism, our impact can evolve, ripple outwards and head into the future.

Once again, we are preparing for @tusk_org Wildlife Ranger Challenge 2024.
We would LOVE you to read this!
All staff from all our Zuka Private Game Reserve entities as well as participants from Wild Impact, andBeyond Phinda, Munywana Conservancy and Nyati Anti-Poaching Unit amounting to 200 of us, will walk and run (5kms, 10kms or the full 21kms) through the reserve on Saturday 21st September!
Our proximity to the ocean has always been at the heart of our commitment to this area and while hosting an inclusive event, we will again be fundraising for @oceanswithoutborders the incredible marine conservation programme that we have supported since inception!
All funds raised are immediately matched by Scheinberg Relief Fund and because of our participation, Tusk award further catalyst grants to our beneficiaries – so a little really does go a long way!
@wildrunnerza are helping us to organise an incredible event and although we are fully subscribed for 2024, we are ready to expand and next year your dream of trail running through our Big Five game reserve could come true!

THULANI
Thulani is an incredible tracker here on Zuka Private Game Reserve!
He initially qualified as a security guard; controlling access to our conservancy, ensuring safety around the lodges, and learning the gritty stuff in the field by carrying out the arduous patrols across the whole reserve as part of the Anti-Poaching Unit.
